He is Risen!!
Praise the Lord, for today, we celebrate our hope and the reason we are able to pray!! Easter Sunday also marks the end of the 42 Days of Prayer. Thank you all for devoting yourself to going deeper in prayer these past 42 days. Let’s share God’s goodness with one another. And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. – Romans 1:4-5
April 3: Ask God to forgive the sins of LA and to bring revival to the city.
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
April 2: Pray for justice for the oppressed.
Isaiah 58:6-9 “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter–when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.“
April 1: Pray for the leaders (of your small group, ministry, church, companies, nations).
1 Timothy 2:1-2 “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
March 31: Pray for the salvation of those who do not know Jesus.
John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
March 30: Pray for Newsong LA (all of Newsong) as Paul prayed below for the church of Ephesus.
Ephesians 3:14-19 “For this reason I kneel before the Father…[that] he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp…the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.“
March 29: Pray for unity in the church.
Ephesians 4:2-3 “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.“
